Experience and Equivalency mandatory entry- level training for Class 1

Beginning January 1, 2021, all drivers wanting to obtain their Class 3 to class 1 licence must complete the Experience and Equivalency mandatory entry- level training course.

Class 1:MELT Components

• Classroom                                    11 hours
• In-Yard (around the vehicle)         6.5 hours
• In-Cab (behind the wheel)            23.5 hours

Airbrakes:

• Classroom                                    6.5 hours
• In-Yard (around the vehicle)        2.0 hours

 Total hours:48.5 hours

Price does not include government testing fees, road test permit fees, or drivers medical fees.
